Internet Marketing and Business Opportunity Reviews

Online Business Systems
I can’t tell if the Online Business Systems web site is designed to make them look super intelligent or to make readers feel inadequate. I’d like to think that I am reasonably intelligent, but I still cannot describe fully just what it is that they do or offer. Their sales copy sounds like someone was locked in an office with a thesaurus for a week while creating their site. It sounds more to me like a mission statement from a Dilbert strip. Here are some snippets from the Online Business Systems web site:
“Our processes focus on facilitating an understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and on developing requirements and a future vision for the organization’s reporting, analytics, or corporate performance management requirements.”
“These new integrated systems provide a holistic view of the relationships within internal systems, and with clients and partners.”
“IT is a fundamental component of business strategy, and getting full value out of IT means aligning it precisely with business goals. We can guide you toward a deep understanding of this relationship.”
If someone can interpret that for me & help me out with understanding just what online business systems is all about, please be my guest, & help me out on this one.

Tom Vu
Tom Vu was one of those marketers whose late night antics on cable TV provided a lot of amusement for those of us with the television going at that time of night. He pitched an impressive “no money down” making money in real estate infomercials that were half circus and half playboy mansion. They portrayed him with several women scantily clad and lounging on a powerboat, or in a limo, or elsewhere. Apparently, he’s no longer on cable TV, so Tom Vu fans now have to look elsewhere for their nightly amusement. For a home based business this required some cautious inquires.
There was a story on either Dateline, 60 minutes, NBC, or 20/20 about Tom Vu that was quite informative. They were doing an “interview” with him as well as some ex-students of his. These ex-students claimed that they followed his methods step by step and didn’t make any money and were now angry that they spent all that money for the making money in real estate seminar and have ended up with nothing to show for it. It would be interesting to see how long they actually did follow the Tom Vu plan.
Tom Vu didn’t have much to say during his portion of the interview. He’s probably sitting back enjoying his wealth and fancy lifestyle on his yachts that he often flaunts on his infomercials!
Last I heard, Tom Vu was convicted of fraud and multiple other charges connected with his company in Florida several years ago and is now serving time. Federal mail and wire fraud, I believe along with tax evasion, false advertising, etc. That’s what I’ve been told.
As for our review, it goes without saying, don’t waste time trying to locate any of his old materials. In my opinion they really are not worth the paper their printed on.

How can I research an internet business to make sure it is valid?
I wanted to order some furniture from an online business that advertised on a local site. I cannot find any reviews on this company. Where should I look. I would mention the name but I think that is against the rules. Please help me to educate myself on researching internet businesses and what to look for. Thank you.

Frank Kern
If you’ve been around online marketing at all you’ve probably heard of a guy named Frank Kern.
Frank’s first venture was selling “Mining Gold on The Internet”, by Shawn Casey. The way it was told to me, the FTC said Kern’s marketing business was a pyramid scheme, and they shut down his business which was making a half-million dollars a year. At one point the FTC closed his business and confiscated all of his property. While it is an unusual situation, it does make all of us marketers realise that we have to stay within the rules.
While this was going on, Frank Kern and Ed Dale set up some “mini-sites” in small profitable niches. They stayed away from internet marketing, home business,or get rich quick. Since he was in so much trouble, he knew the FTC would pounce on him for anything that was outside the law at all. Frank and Ed began to make even more profits with their newest system.
Frank and Ed decided to get back into selling marketing information products. They teach how to market to several different niche markets.
They sold a course entitled “Underachiever’s Mastery Course”. It cost around $1500. I have been using niche marketing for some time now, and I can assure that it works very well.
Frank is now selling a course called “Mass Control”. It is a 30 day course on internet marketing with a focus on email marketing. He claims to have launched 3 products with it for others that made huge money. In fact the stomper.net launch supposedly made over 23 million dollars in 24 hours. He recently launched Mass Contorl 2.0.
I think Frank Kern has a lot to offer. The price of his courses are very high. At around $1,500.00-$2,000.00, they will do some damage to your bankroll. You might look on Ebay for a cheaper way to get his course.

Leaving business reviews on net?
Hi
I wanted to know if you are able to leave truthful reviews on the internet for businesses, without being accused of slander? Do you need to be careful what you say even though you have experienced it first hand.
Thanks ![]()
